 OREGON'S WILLOW CREEK VALLEY
A NEW HOME FOR BUSINESS ALONG
OREGON'S BLUE MOUNTAIN SCENIC HIGHWAY

Oregon's Willow Creek Valley
is located in central Morrow County,
between the vast wheat fields of the
Columbia River Basin and the forested Blue

Mountains. The three communities of Heppner, Lexington, and Ione offer a business location with good highway access to the major population centers of northeastern Oregon and south-
eastern Washington, but with the charm

and relaxed family environment of
small-town living.

Thirty minutes from the I-84 freeway, Oregon's Willow Creek Valley is close to main highway,

rail and barge transportation networks along the
Columbia River. Commercial airports at Pendleton and Pasco are an hour's drive away. A general aviation airport capable of handling light jets is located
at Lexington. With overnight express service and modern telecommunications capabilities, firms located in Oregon's Willow Creek Valley have all the competitive advantages of larger cities in the region.

Heppner is the County Seat of Morrow County. A community of 1,500 people, it is the resource center for business services in Oregon's Willow Creek Valley. It also has a hospital, two banks, and the headquarters of the electric cooperative.

Lexington is the home of the Morrow County Grain Growers and the Morrow County Airport. This community of 300 people is located at the junction of
State Highways 74 and 207, offering the closest access to Pendleton, Hermiston, the Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, and other communities.

Ione, with 250 residents, is the smallest of the three communities in Oregon's Willow Creek Valley. With tree-lined streets and turn-of-the-century homes,
it offers a quiet, family-oriented lifestyle.

Morrow and Umatilla counties are experiencing some of Oregon's highest economic growth rates. Most of that
new activity is taking place along the I-84 and I-82 freeway corridors in the northern part of Morrow County and western Umatilla County. Recent projections predict that non-farm employment in this two-county region will increase at a rate 75% greater than the state as a whole by the year 2006.

Oregon's Willow Creek Valley
offers a good location to access these growing economic opportunities, while at the same time enjoying a lifestyle that is uniquely different.

Morrow County and the Port of Morrow are working together to help companies locate new facilities in the Willow Creek Valley. Industrial sites and buildings are available through the Port of Morrow, which can also assist in obtaining low-cost financing for qualified firms. Morrow County can provide technical assistance and help in evaluating the business location factors that are important to business operations.
