Penland Lake

Eight miles south of Cutsforth Park is Lake Penland. Managed by the Forest Service, facilities at the lake include developed picnic grounds, boat launching area, and a large parking lot where limited overnight parking is allowed. There are no hook-ups and no water available. Small electric motors are permitted on the lake.

Bull Prairie

A Forest Service managed park. Bull Prairie is 32 miles south of Heppner near Highway 207. The campground has 26 trailer and tent units each containing a parking pad, table, and fireplace. Water is available, but there are no electrical hook-ups. There is a $6.00 overnight fee per unit. There is a boat launching area (no motors allowed), large picnic grounds with 40 units, and a trailer dump station (no hook-up) that carries a $2.00 charge.

Cutsforth Park

Cutsforth Park is located 22 miles southeast of Heppner on Willow Creek Road also known as “Blue Mountain Scenic By-Way”.  Orville Cutsforth donated the land for this park.  The park has full/ partial RV hookups, as well as tent sites, and cabins.  Restrooms with showers, stocked fishing pond, horse shoe pits, day use area for picnics and family reunions, a gazebo, Darcy Coil 4-H Building, and a playground for kids.  Horse pens are available to rent.  Trails are adjacent on the Umatilla National Forest for trail rides.  This park is also a winter staging for snow-mobilers, cabins are available for renting year round. 

Anson Wright Park

Anson Wright Park is 26 miles southwest of Heppner on Highway 207.   In 1967 the Wright Family donated the land as a memorial to Anson Wright.  This park has full, partial RV hook-ups as well as tent sites and a cabin.  Restrooms with showers, stocked fishing pond, horseshoe pits, day use area for picnics, family reunions, and a playground for kids.

OHV Park & RV Campground

Morrow-Grant Off Highway Vehicle Park is located 35 miles south of Heppner on Highway 207.  The 8,125 acre parcel was made possible by Oregon Parks and Recreation Grant Programs (OPRD).  The OHV Park has cabins, full/partial RV hook-ups, dry sites, tent areas, and large group sites.  The park offers ATV trails, camping, hiking areas, horse shoe pits, 4x4 rock crawl, stocked fishing ponds, fantastic scenery, wildlife, all of which makes this a “Premier Destination Park”.  Snow-mobilers and cross country skiers will enjoy this spot in the winter time. Cabins are available to rent year round.  There is no charge for day riding.  OHV riding is a family oriented sport with machines of all sizes for all ages.  All three classes of ATV vehicles have many miles of trails to ride with a variety of difficult levels. Restrooms and showers are available. 

Willow Creek RV Park

RV Campground is located on the lake approximately a half mile up Willow Creek Road from the junction of Highway 207 at Heppner City limits. The park elevation is approximately 2,200 ft. The park is open from March 15 through December 1st.

The RV park has 24 spaces. Including one space for the Park Host. All have 50-60ft pull through and 2 sites that are back ends. All sites containing electricity, sewer and water are $22 a night. Sites that contain only water and electricity are $18 a night. All tent sites are $10 a night.   Dump fee is $5.

Amenities include restrooms with showers, BBQ pits, picnic tables, and boat launch. This recreational area is on the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway to Baker City; Wi-Fi is available to overnight guests.
